As a lifelong Brooklyn resident, I’ve devoted my career to improving our community. From a young age, I wanted to be a prosecutor so that I could make a difference- both in terms of keeping Brooklyn safe and ensuring equal justice for all. Over the past 22 years, my life experience in Brooklyn has guided my work as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.
I’m proud of the work I’ve done over the last 20 years, especially the innovative and progressive reforms that I helped implement under DA Ken Thompson—reforms that kept Brooklyn safe, while building better community relations, restoring trust in the DA’s office, and steering young people toward better paths. We’ve made great progress, but there is more work to do.
It has been my honor to serve as the District Attorney since last year, and it would be a privilege to continue the important work we started. My goal is to create a national model for what an effective and progressive prosecutor’s office looks like.
Keeping Brooklyn safe and reforming our criminal justice system is my life’s work. With your support, we can achieve these important goals together.
